We are excited to start the upcoming 2021 Metro Minor Ball Hockey League season at the Feildian Gardens. We welcome players from all over the greater metro area to come enjoy the great sport of ball hockey. What are the age groups for play?

WE OFFER PLAY IN THE FOLLOWING AGE GROUPS. U11(2010/11/12) ,U13(2008/09),U15 (2006/07), U19/17 (2005/04/03/02)

Is the league open to boys and girls?

YES THIS IS A CO-ED LEAGUE

What equipment is required to play?

ALL PLAYERS MUST WEAR ICE HOCKEY HEMETS WITH FULL FACE MASK, HOCKEY GLOVES,BALL HOCKEY SHIN PADS (other shin pads are allowed but must be covered). HOCKEY STICKS MUST BE USED. PLASTIC STICKS ARE NOT ALLOWED. OTHER EQUIPMENT SUCH AS ATHLETIC SUPPORT CUPS AND ELBOW PADS ARE NOT REQUIRED BUT CERTAINLY RECOMMENDED

GOALTENDERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR FULL GOALIE GEAR. STREET HOCKEY EQUIPMENT IS NOT PERMITTED. STEEL TOED FOOTWEAR IS RECOMMENDED FOR GOALIES

What is the cost to play?

THE REGISTRATION FEE IS $260.00 PER PLAYER. A DISCOUNT IS AVAILABLE FOR FAMILIES WITH THREE OR MORE CHILDREN. Please email us for instructions to receive this discount.

When does the season start and end?

THE SEASON WILL BEGIN THE WEEK OF MAY 31 AND END THE WEEK OF AUGUST 6

What days of the week and times will the league operate?

THE LEAGUE WILL OPERATE MOSTLY FROM MONDAYS THRU THURSDAYS. PLAYERS FOR THE MOST PART WILL HAVE TWO SESSIONS PER WEEK. THERE MAY BE SLIGHT CHANGES TO THESE DAYS OR TIMES BUT FOR THE MOST PART IT WILL RUN UNDER THESE PARAMETERS. TIMES WILL RANGE FROM 4:00-9:00 AND ALL SESSIONS ARE AT THE FEILDIAN GARDENS ARENA

How are teams selected and can I have my child play on a team with his friends?

THE FIRST SESSIONS ARE USED BY STAFF AND COACHES TO EVALUATE AND RANK PLAYERS. WE USE THIS INFORMATION TO SELECT TEAMS AND TRY TO MAKE THEM AS BALANCED AS POSSIBLE. TO THIS END IT MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE TO ACCOMMODATE REQUESTS FOR PLAYERS TO PLAY WITH EACH OTHER. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ANY REQUESTS AND KINDLY ASK THAT THEY ONLY BE MADE FOR EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES.
